Advanced Visions has partnered with MsM Financial to better understand the needs of our clients on executive searches. Mike Mitchell is the former CFO of a $630 million dollar publicly traded company and will be personally working with Advanced Visions for all executive searches. His experience will be an asset to the client and candidate to help ensure a good fit for the position.

Mike Mitchell, President MsM Financial

Mike directed all of the financial affairs for Ridley Inc., a $630 million publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange with more than 1000 employees and 42 locations in the US and Canada. Mike was a member of the Executive Management Committee. His direct responsibilities included all financial reporting, both internally and externally, to the TSX. Other primary areas of responsibility included Risk Management, Business Development, Corporate Development, Banking, Credit and all administrative functions including Human Resources and Information Technology. Mike also directed the strategic planning and budgeting process, corporate governance and policies, internal and external audit activities, Sarbannes Oxley compliance, and shareholder relations. He was a member of various other committees including risk management, benefits, disclosure, safety, IT steering, and pension trustee. Officer and Director of several subsidiary companies.

In addition to his financial background, Mike has operations experience as he was general manager and managed all day-to-day functions for a division of privately held Hubbard Milling Company. The division was the second largest manufacturer of private label pet foods in the US, which at the time included 13 direct reports, 500 division employees, and 12 manufacturing facilities. Mike was a member of the management team with responsibility for division strategic planning, capital spending and acquisitions.

Mike earned a BS degree from Mankato State University with majors in Accounting and Business Administration.
